Amur Maple . . . (Acer ginnala) A beautiful but weedy species introduced
to North America from China.
Unfortunately, prodigious seed
productioin with introduced species
frequently can lead to
conflict with long-standing
balances within native
habitats. This has occured
with the Amur Maple in
areas of Northeast America.
