Clarkia (Clarkia pulchella) . . . This beautiful annual is named for William Clark
of Lewis & Clark and the Corps of Discovery fame. Clarkia is a member
of the Evening Primrose family, revealed in its rhythm of 4's: four petals,
8 stamens, 4-part stigma (white center on end of female style).
