The fruit of the Junipermore commonly known as Eastern Redcedar
are small berry-like cones. Borne only on the female trees, in spring
they are first light green, then glaucous shade of blue as they mature
in the fall (stage shown above). They are distinctively sweet when ripe,
and an important source of wildlife food.
