Mayapple flower (Podophyllum peltatum)  A solitary flower, under the large umbrella-like storu
of leaves, with 6 to 9 petals and yellow stamens. The leaves, roots and green fruits are poisonous, but
the lemon-colored ripe fruit is edible. Native to North America.
