ON DEMAND! . . . A miniature North American 'found-object'(oject trouwe) poem. That is, an image which
is both a picture, and sometimes on a more subtle level, an unintentional commentary on the cultural metaphysics
out of which it emerged. I find these things at the most unexpected moments in the most far-away, secluded
places. They always make me stop and reflect a while...on the incredible mechanical power of New Technologies;
On the incredible beauty of the artifacts of Nature, and the equally incredible tragedy of a worldview which projects
non-stop fantasy realities, as the saying goes -- ON DEMAND! -- as a way of dealing with the unwanted tragedy
of their loss.
