Looking into the eyes of this reptile, one sees it seems to me two hundred million years
of evolutionary steadfastness. Not fancy, you might say, but it works. That is, until lately.
This species , once popular for turtle soup, we are officialy advised to refrain from
eating in the area where this photo was made because of mercury contamination!
