moth mullein: striking symmetry

Moth Mullein, striking alternate symmetry . . . (Verbascum blattaria) Seen from below
on the flowering spike. Introduced from Europe; member of the Snapdragon family. Notice how
intensely the plant is 'sweating' moisture in order to deal with the near 40 c. temperature of
this hot late June afternoon.
